I am probably looking at $500 for the drivers seat. My final option is that I made an appointment with an auto upholstery shop and we are going to custom rebuild the shape of the seat, use a softer foam and recover in a softer and more pliable material. Even with dropping the front of the seat cushion to its lowest setting, my knees are still higher and I don't have any support (seat) under my thighs at the front edge of the seat. Most Chiropractors and Orthopedic Doctors will tell you that you should have your knees lower than your buttocks. Still uncomfortable, because even with the power seat adjustments, I find the seat cushion 2 inches too short, (and I am only 5'3"), and the thigh bolsters way too high and firm. I have bought and returned numerous cushions and even took foam and cut patterns to add cushioning to seat. Wish I knew that before dropping $34,000. I noticed that Car & Driver and Motor Trend reviewers all commented how uncomfortable the seats were. So disappointed with this being the first new car that I have purchased in years. I have had my 2018 Equinox for less than a month, and I am finding the seats painful after 5 minutes of driving.
